The doctoral program in finance at the Department of Finance builds upon the leading academic finance group in the German-speaking part of Europe. Integrating 20 professors and more than 130 employees, the DBF provides broad expertise in its four core areas of Banking and Insurance, Corporate Finance, Financial Economics and Quantitative Finance. More than 60 doctoral students are currently enrolled in the program.
The doctoral program in finance also benefits greatly from a close collaboration with the Swiss Finance Institute (SFI). The SFI faculty is made up of over 60 researchers who are based at the three campuses in Léman (Geneva and Lausanne), Lugano and Zurich. They contribute to the international research community by publishing at the highest level and by training doctoral students who go on to be hired by top academic institutions around the globe.
